Youth Education through Sports (YES Inc.), an education-based sports program, is a 501 (c)(3), tax-exempt organization based in Harlem, NYC.
Through the SMARTBALL Initiative, YES Inc. fulfills its mission by identifying, developing and implementing innovative supplemental education and athletic enrichment programs designed to help middle school and high school student-athletes meet NCAA eligibility requirements and qualify for the college and career of their choice.
We provide student-athletes with:
✓ Academic enrichment to help them stay on track with their studies.
✓ Group and Peer-to-Peer mentoring sessions to share experiences and get advice.
✓ One-on-one coaching sessions to set personalized goals and develop a plan for college and career readiness.
Schools and student-athletes accept the SMARTBALL Initiative invitation to participate in the education-based SMARTBALL Initiative.
Invited schools and student-athletes participate in the SMARTBALL Invitational Basketball Classic program.
Schools and student-athletes become part of the SMARTBALL Network and connect with and become fully engaged in the SMARTBALL Supplementary Education and Personal Development Programs.

The annual SMARTBALL Reality Check Forum provides student-athletes and coaches crucial education and eligibility information needed to qualify to play athletics in college.
Representatives from the NCAA Inclusion, Education and community Engagement team present the latest information and realities around eligibility and recruitment. Special guest speakers are invited to share their stories to inspire and motivate student-athletes to consider college as a realistic option.
